Courtyard by Marriott Cincinnati Midtown/Rookwood

I recently stayed at a Marriott hotel and had a mixed experience. The hotel boasts an excellent location, making it convenient to explore the surrounding area. Additionally, the staff were commendable for their friendliness and professionalism, constantly striving to ensure a pleasant stay.However, there were a few drawbacks that impacted my experience. Firstly, the breakfast service ended quite early at 9:30 am, which might not be ideal for those who prefer a leisurely morning. Secondly, I encountered issues with the door locks in my room, which were broken. This is a significant concern as it directly affects the safety and security of guests.Another point of concern was the room rates. I found them to be quite expensive, which set high expectations for the quality and service of the hotel. Unfortunately, these expectations were not fully met, especially considering the issues I faced.Lastly, I experienced problems with clogged drains in the bathroom. While this can happen occasionally, it's an inconvenience, especially in a premium hotel where such issues should be promptly addressed.In summary, while the staff's efforts and the hotel's location are praiseworthy, the early breakfast timing, room security concerns, high cost, and maintenance issues like clogged drains detracted from the overall experience. I believe there's room for improvement, particularly in ensuring that facilities are well-maintained and functional.

Nice staff, clean rooms. Coffee was a complete hassle, this should be an easy one. Why do I have to choose between garbage powdered creamer in my room, or waiting in line for “Starbucks” in the lobby, and then they ran out of drip coffee at 9am? 2 staff members trying their best, but overwhelmed by demand. Quit trying to be fancy and/or squeeze every dollar out of travelers. Just put some big urns of coffee out with cups, etc., and call it a day. Also, I requested housekeeping on Saturday at the time we checked in, double-checked on it the morning of, and our room never got cleaned, or given new linens. Just a dropped ball. Also, both good and an area for improvement, on Sunday I asked for a late checkout and was told 12:30 was the latest that they could do. Later on I asked another person and she said 2pm was no problem (our flight was delayed).
